Snow Day #5

It was too icy outside to build snowmans, so the next best thing was to have slinky races down the stairs.

Why C can't turn right anymore

C decided to do the ONU indoor marathon on an 1/8 mile track (which calculates to 211 laps). No I didn't add an extra digit there, it is really two hundred and eleven laps around. I have to say it was pretty neat to watch. Usually I am on the sidelides watching all the runners go by then that is it. This time you get to see them go around, around and around again. You can cheer when you see someone slow down - or secretly tell C that he better push it because he is about to get lapped.


He came in 2nd - how crazy is that. I told him, he can do it again next yeat.

I can't believe she is 3 already. Time definitely flies especially with little kids. Her gifts was a Pink Yoshi and Piplup. You think she has two older brothers?

Snow again

It looked nice the first couple of days, now another snow storm comes through and I am ready for the summer.

Another baking challenge

I had to have S birthday party a week earlier than her birthday because we were leaving for Ada, Ohio for an indoor marathon. For her party, I decided to bake again and get a little creative. It has been awhile. They were shortbread cookies with an S in the middle, on top of cream cheese frosting which was on top of a chocolate cupcake. I have to say I love the shortbread cookies - first time I made them and they were YUMMY!!

First Snow Day!

The first snow day was great - we spent it at the boys school digging holes and creating caves. Three hours later, I was frozen.

Honey, I think the tree is too big

I was so excited when we went to cut down out own tree. This year we found a great place that had acres and acres of trees to choose from. If you live in NJ and looking for a place, I highly recommend Shale Hills Farms. We had to cut off a foot because it wouldn't fit in the living room - I swear it looked much smaller outside.

What a great way for C to spend his birthday, watching V run his first timed-mile race then for him to run himself. There is no doubt V will be able to keep pace with him in a year and take him over in a two :). He finished in 9:12.

V has sucked his thumb since he was a baby. I don't try to change that because I was a thumbsucker too. While he does, he usually holds his Stitch doll. This day, I turned around and found S pretending she was V. It was the funniest thing ever.

Point Pleasant - sand ewww

Many know I would rather be at a pool than the beach but I was convinced to go to the beach. S refused to go in the water but she spent the whole time digging and moving sand from one end to the other. The boys loved the waves. I just loved watching them ... would have been better without all that sand ;)

The kids had a blast, walking through water and climb up the rocks. We even found a small water fall.

Too cute to eat

I had made these before for a friend's babyshower but I forgot to take a picture of them. These were made for my neighbor, she was throwing a babyshower for her friend. I love them, and I thank Bakerella for coming up with such cute ideas.

Mom I can whistle now

V lost his first tooth at camp, unfortunately he swallowed it. I am not sure who was more upset, me or him.
