First Snow Day!

The first snow day was great - we spent it at the boys school digging holes and creating caves. Three hours later, I was frozen.

Honey, I think the tree is too big

I was so excited when we went to cut down out own tree. This year we found a great place that had acres and acres of trees to choose from. If you live in NJ and looking for a place, I highly recommend Shale Hills Farms. We had to cut off a foot because it wouldn't fit in the living room - I swear it looked much smaller outside.

What a great way for C to spend his birthday, watching V run his first timed-mile race then for him to run himself. There is no doubt V will be able to keep pace with him in a year and take him over in a two :). He finished in 9:12.

V has sucked his thumb since he was a baby. I don't try to change that because I was a thumbsucker too. While he does, he usually holds his Stitch doll. This day, I turned around and found S pretending she was V. It was the funniest thing ever.

Point Pleasant - sand ewww

Many know I would rather be at a pool than the beach but I was convinced to go to the beach. S refused to go in the water but she spent the whole time digging and moving sand from one end to the other. The boys loved the waves. I just loved watching them ... would have been better without all that sand ;)

The kids had a blast, walking through water and climb up the rocks. We even found a small water fall.

I had made these before for a friend's babyshower but I forgot to take a picture of them. These were made for my neighbor, she was throwing a babyshower for her friend. I love them, and I thank Bakerella for coming up with such cute ideas.

V lost his first tooth at camp, unfortunately he swallowed it. I am not sure who was more upset, me or him.

New Year already?

I promised last year that would try to take a picture a day and while I started strong, I ended up with my last post in November 2009. What happened? I figured it is like how millions of Americans promise they would diet and lose weight right after New Year's. And how the gyms are packed to capacity and there is a waiting list just to run on the treadmill. Well, we all start off strong with great hopes to finish the end of the year with the same enthusiasm but tend to falter a little. I won't say 'fail' because that is a little harsh, and I know we all try. Like I tell my kids, it doesn't matter if you win, you just have to try your hardest. So this year, I will try my hardest and instead of a strict goal of trying to post a picture everyday, I'll say once a month.

Hopefully that is more realistic. At least have 21 more days to post a picture for this month.
